Stay Safe on the Beach

South Gulf Fire Rescue serves Cape San Blas and nearby areas, and regularly posts updates with the current beach conditions. Here’s the local fire station’s  Facebook feed with current beach conditions, and what the different color flags mean:

The South Gulf County Volunteer Fire Department also maintains a beach warning flag on the primary walk-over for the Barrier Dunes community, so be sure to check conditions before enjoying the beach each day!

There are also flags posted at both fire stations on the cape, if you happen to drive, walk, or bike past on your way to the beach!
